"Only those with a free mind, shall be prepared for the Great Awakening."
- Damien CarverOur Founder, Damien Carver, affectionately known as Demi, created The Temple of New Hope as a private farming community in 1974. Located in Stone Creek, our mission is to teach and promote self-sustainability in a world with an uncertain future. Our movement is grounded in core values that transcend the societal constructs of the modern world. We believe humankind is on a path toward a GREAT AWAKENING and that our members will be fully prepared with the skills necessary to cross this threshold into a new existence.
We offer refuge to those who are lost in this world. Perhaps wounded, weak, and searching for a place to be reborn.
We support each other with these four core tenets to guide us:
To live your life with clear truth.
To live toward a higher purpose.
To stay in control of your emotions and your mind.
To be filled with wonder of this world and the next.
"You are merely a dot within the celestial wonder of the universe. But the power that dot possesses is infinite."
- DAMIEN CARVERBorn and raised in Stone Creek, Demi’s family lineage dates to the Civil War, when his great-grandfather, Henry Carver, fought for the Union Army. Henry fell in love with the rolling valleys and mountains of Stone Creek, and after the war, he returned to start a family.
Handed down through generations, Demi took over the ninety-acre parcel of land in the 1970’s. He sought to use his family’s experiences to help those wounded by society to create a new life for themselves.
Since opening the Temple in 1974, membership has blossomed to over 1,500 people. They have carried Demi’s inspiration and wisdom to the far corners of Earth.
Is the Temple of New Hope a cult?
No. Although we are a private community of farmers, spiritualists, and artisans, our members are free to go as they please. Many of our members live throughout the United States and abroad. They are functioning contributors to society who help share our message around the world.
Where is the Temple of New Hope located?
We are situated on ninety acres of rural farmland in Stone Creek. We do not publish our address for privacy reasons and to avoid unnecessary media attention.
What do you mean by “great awakening”?
The present course of civilization is fueled by global conflict, energy depletion, and macroeconomic factors that will continue to spiral until an unforeseen event triggers a global catastrophe. This event could be from a nuclear war, a pandemic, the rise of sentient AI, famine, electromagnetic pulse, or interstellar contact. We call this event “The Navigator” and will follow it to the next plane of civilization as survivors in the new world.
How do I join the Temple of New Hope?
New member registration is currently paused because our housing units are at capacity. We plan to build several new shelters this coming year and will re-open registration at that time.
